  1. We were lucky enough to be sent a few games from Tactic through Blog Match and our first one we have reviewed is the 'Dotto' Game.

dottoThe idea of the game Dotto is to race aginst time and use coloured dice to find the pattern shown on your card. There is a timer included in the box (this does require batteries and a screwdriver to open the battery door!) and this goes off randomly during the game when pressed. Therefore you need to have quick fingers to make sure you are the winner by putting all the coloured dice down.

My daughter, Ashleigh, is 5 years old and enjoyed this game that does state 6 years plus on the box and 2-5 players. It is a bit fiddly turning the next card over to reveal the next pattern to make but I took control of this. The instructions were okay but could of been a bit easier set out and as this is a game in the UK, it would of been nice to have the UK instructions first in the booklet as they are about half way through.

Apart from that we had a few hours of fun and even had a board game night the other night, with Dotto being one of the games we played.

You can buy Dotto from Amazon here priced at £14.99.

  2. Ashleigh was very excited as a few weeks ago we received a parcel from Blog Match and reviewed the lovely Zoobles and now we arrived back off holiday to another parcel from Spinmaster Toys and this one being Fab Effex Make 'n' Play Animals and Ashleigh loves crafty things!

fabeffexThe Fab Effex kit allows you to create 3 characters with fabric from 3 plastic starting points in the pack. Full of colourful sticky backed pieces of felt Ashleigh managed to design and customise her own Butterfly, Fish and Lion! The full list of contents included were:

    • 120 Fab Effex Pieces
    • 2 Fab Effex Sheets (to cut your own shapes out of)
    • 1 Sticky Square
    • 3 Plastic Animal Moulds
    • Instruction Guide

The pack is designed for ages 6+ and Ashleigh is 5 years old but she managed to get on really well with all the pieces and this kept her quite for a good one and a half hours!

The packaging is colourful and I would certainly buy these products again for Ashleigh as she loves all crafts. My only thing I dfabeffex1idn't like as a parent is all the differnet languages on the packaging and the instruction sheet as I found it quite confusing.

I found Fab Effex online to buy at Amazon and Argos.
